Organising and preparing cargo for shipping can be tricky. We've compiled some of our most frequently asked questions to make things easier.
Transport via sea freight means your vehicle will travel in a fully enclosed ship between ports. Vessels are fully enclosed, ventilated, and watertight which means your vehicle won't be exposed to the elements. There are also no stone chips, mud, insects, road/truck grime or red dust to contend with which is prevalent in the Australian outback.
Vehicles travel on specialty-built ships and are safely and securely fastened by professional stevedores to prevent movement during transit.
Yes! Simply provide a description of what will be travelling and the dimensions (L×W×H + WT) of the attachments/spare parts and we’ll assist with a quote and plan for transport.
Yes! We can manage all pre-shipping preparation details to ensure the transport of your forklift, mobline crane or reach stacker is on time and within budget. This can include:
- Permit applications (import, export and transport)
- Cleaning to comply with requirements
- Fumigation
- Collection and delivery to/from port
- Oversize / wide load permits
- Machinery dismantle

Due to safety reasons, gas forklifts are not permitted to travel via ship. Diesel and electric forklifts only are permitted to travel via ship. Please note, electric forklifts are subject to additional conditions and can only travel on vessels fitted with the appropriate heat seeking sensors and equipment. Where a shipping service is not available, we can arrange transport by road.
